Many people suffer from what they call “Imposter Syndrome”: an idea that they ‘don’t deserve’ to be in the room, job, role etc. But if you’re in the room, if you’ve passed the interview, if you’ve been invited in the room then you deserve to be in the room. My 1 minute Tip touches on this on this and the importance of taking your time to know what you bring to the table, to reflect on your achievements and to own them. Sometime you may be the only person who looks like you and has similar experiences and (protected and other) characteristics as you. Sometimes then that’s all the more reason that you are in the room to achieve equality, diversity, equity, representation and inclusion.
